Ode to the Beach

Rolling and crashing,
Great navy blue waves,
Roaring and smashing,
Against abandoned caves.
Sunlight spreads its hand,
Across the beach,
Across the sand,
Nothing escapes its reach.
Golden sand spreads across the land,
As far as the eye can see,
So magnificent and grand,
I am filled with glee,
Uncontrollable and indisputable,
The wind is creature.
Natural and irrefutable,
The wind is a natural feature.
Where is the sun?
The clouds have clumped up,
No joy, no fun,
The sun has been locked up.
Dark stormy clouds,
Clump up in the sky.
Coming in crowds,
It is time to say goodbye,
The beach,
Oh, so pretty and fair,
The beach,
Is beyond compare.
