Ode to the native purple coral pea

Climbing trees is the theme,
Or so it does seem,
Like a sea of beauty, flowing purple and green,
Spreading out from tree to tree,
Looking as happy as can be,
A flower oh so special to me,
Thus was this, the purple coral pea.
Its vines entangle every place,
Constantly searching for ever more space,
Growing at speed,
Each day is a race,
And boy, do they put a smile on my face.
Their flowing beauty ever-shining,
Their flowers and vines are most divine,
Giving my sorrows joyful underlining,
These are the flowers I like to call mine.
Thus, I look back and I see,
Waiting for me joyfully,
The native purple coral pea,
With it, is where I wish to be.
