Amidst the cries and whispers of the trees,

We scar nature, fully unknown.

Their leaves tremble from the poisoned breeze,

And the land laments in every groan,

Once verdant, now scarred.

From the home of the koala,

To the home we live in,

Comes the betrayal of our second mother.

Forgiving our sin,

Nature, once verdant, now scarred.

From climate change,

To human change, what will that take?

To revive nature’s range,

Now at stake,

Once verdant, now scarred.

Yet in the midst of the sombre dream,

There are hearts that dare to care,

A glimmer of hope and a chance to redeem,

The world's wounds can slowly repair.

From a land once scarred, to one at peace.
