One Fish

The glistening lake
A place for fisherman to catch and take
The ocean glows blood red violet and lime
As the fish get hunted at night
The animals in the ocean water
Get caught and slaughtered
As the line goes down the salty water
The animals swim in worry
The animals in the sea could die each day
Because the predators hunt them down
So many fish die by humans
And are sold in the market for pennies
I wonder what the fish would think
“Why are the humans catching so many?”
The sun goes down
Glimpses of bright orange, yellow and red fill the sky
You may not think there is a difference
But if you catch one fish and throw it back
It is a difference to that one fish
