Orange-bellied Parrot

This small, beautiful species 

Sings tweet-tweet! 

As they fly gracefully through the sky 

Feathers colourful from their head to their feet 

Sadly, their presence is dropping 

As their habitats are being cleared 

There are not enough females 

And soon they will no longer appear 

These poor little birds don’t deserve it 

We need our orange-bellied friends 

Together we must help 

Or these parrots' lives will end.
