Our Cherished Earth

As the blossoms bloom and the animals awaken,
A breath of fresh air starts to be taken.
The beauty of life the trees and flowers,
No sign of the City or grey gloomy towers.
Leaves rustle as the wind blows,
The sun above covers with yellow glows.
The forests and jungles of wet and dry,
Make up our land that’s starting to die.
The greenness surrounds us in many shades,
Both light and dark and some starting to fade.
When we look up in the sky what comes to mind,
Is the beautiful Earth that gives and provides.
As the winter comes the animals hide,
It’s a glimpse of sadness in our eyes.
Will the Earth be the same when they rouse from their slumber?
Or will it be dry and force them back under?
This wonderful Earth is starting to perish.
The nature around us, this Earth that we cherish.
Some open their hearts and feel for our land,
And we hope that others do what they can.
