A spark of hope left behind, no one left to find.
On her own, all alone, hidden in the unknown.
Sunlight flows through, rain dripping too.
The waterfall flows, we mustn’t dispose.
Of this beautiful gift, that mustn’t shift.
The flora and fauna, have had enough trauma.
The creatures inside, harm is implied.
Nowhere to go, the tears must now flow.
The rainforest is dying, it is mortifying.
We no longer know, how to let it grow.
Now we must take care, because we’re unaware.
What we have committed, should not be permitted.
Swallowed up by despair, we must be aware.
She cannot outrun, the harm we have done.
This is a crime, we have no more time.
We must change our ways, before we end her days.
Now work as a teammate, before it’s too late.
Save our rainforest, before she becomes sawdust.
Now get out of your seat, we all must compete.
In this battle between, nature and a machine.
