Our Home, Australia

Amongst the eucalyptus, the gum tree rises,
The golden wattle blooms and fills the skies.
The waratah stands regal, red and bold,
Troops of kangaroos bounce out in the open cold.
Koalas sleep in branches high,
Staring down at us, as if they can fly.
An emu strides through open plains with grace,
A flock of cockatoos circles, leaving no trace.
The bottlebrush blooms in a vibrant embrace,
Filling the garden with colour and grace.
Paddles of platypuses swim around like it’s a race,
Kangaroo paws stretch high, dancing with elegant grace.
This is our home, Australia, where wonders come alive.
Our aurora, a space where fauna and flora thrive.
Quite the find.
This is our home,
Where we’re free to roam,
In this haven, we’re truly united.
This is our land down under,
This is our Australian home.
