Our Problem

As fires burn in our waking hour
And the smoke reaches up higher and higher
It leaves a taste in your mouth most sour
As people pretend to care, making us liars
Once animals are forced to flee
Running and hopping away just to live
Some can run and escape while others are forced to bleed
As ‘they’ watch on from their high, high blimps
Rivers bleed brown, full of waste
Choking, eating on which they should never feed
Some try to flee, losing lives, whilst others make use of their haste
For all the warnings that they never heed
As machinery goes into forests to cut trees down
Animals mourn the loss of their homes
Away in their feelings, will they drown
And we won't stop till we can stop taking out loans
