Palm Tree

As I walk along the soft, smooth, crunchy sand
I settle my eyes on a beautiful, tall palm tree
When I get closer, it sways and dances, like it’s finally free
Thump! Thump!
There are delicious coconuts falling from the top
I only have one leg, so I go hop, hop, hop
I can see the shiny, shimmering sun, spreading sunlight my way
All I think I should do is say HOORAY!
This amazing palm tree
It fills me up with glee
I never want to leave it behind
I wish I could stay near this palm tree forever
I know that will happen never
Bye, palm tree, I wish I’d stay
Then all that would shout out of my mouth is YAY!
