Paper Thin

Paper is a finger bleed away,
A best selling book along,
Or an inspiring artist to come.
Paper is the inanimate object,
Used as a window to climb,
To open a door to a muse,
And a puzzle piece to find.
Paper is a leeway to a memory,
Faded through the words,
Or coloured by the ink.
Paper is thin like a tightrope walk,
Like a thread on a needle,
Like a bike wheel or chalk.
It keeps the pen flowing along it,
The author's or artist's mind with it too,
Writing and creating masterpieces,
It’s job is to help the creator think,
This poem was written on paper,
Only with pen and ink.
