Perunga Grasshopper

I watch as a grasshopper prances around 

He jumps around without a sound 

From grass blade to grass blade he jumps with glee

Until he tires under a tree 

But when he wakes from his deep slumber 

He is hit by a strong hunger

He searches for food but sadly fails

Then along comes a bird he must bail

He runs so fast he’s like the flash 

When all of a sudden crash bash splat

The bird has tripped and fallen 

It’s time to get sprawlin'

He gets away he is safe

He jumps with glee he is free

He goes back to searching for some snacks 

Until he stumbles along a shack 

He can hear something from inside 

A human, better run and hide
