A full moon surrender
A moment unmasked
A settled peace
It takes some time
Hearts that beat so close
We settle in... and for a moment we feel it
and that is the only moment we will ever need
to remind us
to sustain us.
The new moon is hollow
with unwelcome thoughts and birds that echo our distance
A waning energy
Through the fog of learned amnesia
That moment becomes harder to retrieve
but just as the moon is a guardian of mine
Forever you are the keeper
of that moment in time
