Hidden in the lowest drawer
Under a stack of paper
Covered by dust
Is a framed graduation photo

With forty-eight familiar names
Forty-eight small figures
And forty-eight bright smiles
This picture symbolises my entire childhood

Staring at the faces in the photo
Fingers slowly sliding across
A smile is formed at the corner of my mouth
And memories come flashing back to me

We had jokes that only we could understand
We invented games that seemed foolish to others
We experienced happiness and sadness together
We fought, but we were always united as a big class

All of these are now frozen in this small, exquisite photo
It will be there to remind me of
Those precious days we've been through
And the people who accompanied me along this journey
