Smoke fills the air
as landfills take the mound.

Garbage flows in seas
as I rattle my keys

I drive away,
releasing poison where I go.
As the singular layer
which protects us from harmful rays,
slowly rots away

Rubbish fills the land
as people trample on ground.
I sometimes wonder if experts are really profound

As waves cower over,
whipping against the shore,
everything washes up,
rubbish, fish and more

As we uncover mother nature’s lore,
we continue to strike at its core.
Always wanting more
