Precious Stones

Mum thinks I’m a hoarder as you can see
I collect precious stones which are in front of me
And have been collecting them since I was three
When I look through them they fill me with glee
I have found them in Sydney, Perth and Capri
And when finding one I was stung by a bee
Some are clean and some glow in the dark
Some are pink that I found in the park
Some shimmer some shine some are marked
But best off all none of them bark
I love to play with my precious stones
I sort them out when I’m alone
Some feel smooth and some are toned
Some are cold and some are on loan
When I open my closet they all fall about
That’s when I lock my brother and sister out!
I love my precious stones there is no doubt.
