Quokkas

Resting in the morning sun,
A quokka lays smiling.
The grass tickles their furry back,
Wind hits their face softly.
Scurrying around Rottnest Island,
Waiting for people to see them.
Snacking on some grass,
And munching on the surrounding leaves.
But slowly their homes fades,
And one of the reasons is climate change.
Foxes and cats make them quiver,
As they hunt them down and eat them for dinner.
Humans come from all around,
To see the animals that have never frowned.
Quokkas are happy to smile for a pic,
As long as you make it quick!
