Rains Down

Drops of water fall softly onto my shoulder
Everytime it hits, it gets colder and colder.
The rain causes the day to frown
Making the whole town feel down.
Atmosphere, the clouds looking sorrowful
If only something could make the world colourful.
As you stare through the window
You start to shiver, feeling like grey monsters are about to swallow.
A coat, you wrap around yourself
Windows rattle, figurines fall from the shelf,
Impact so severe, everything makes a chilling chatter
Books, toys and plates start to shatter.
Deafening thunder, a fearful sound
Swift, blood-curdling strikes hit the ground,
Devil’s pitchforks flashing light all around
Then torrents of water rain down.
