Replenishing Sea

A place where the water runs
Where it crashes into the sand
Where grains get stuck between human toes
Where feet sink beside the water
Cold yet replenishing
Wild yet calm
The sea takes my cares away
My burdens she carries
Upon her shoulders
She houses so many
But many are not kept safe
They are hunted and stolen from their homes
But She cannot help
And that pains her more than you could know
She has no physical body
But she herself is one
If you listen carefully
She’ll tell you stories of old
For she herself has seen it all
And she knows it all as well
