River

The glistening glow of the glorious river glides down the stream,
while the fabulous fishes try to find food to feast on.
Little children running beside the river; going with the flow,
people are skipping stones, hoping the stones will leap.
Crickets singing in the night, on the fresh green grass, right by the river, and the sparkly blue water stays still in the night sky.
The water runs through the riverbank,
and it races over the rocks.
The river is like a sneaky snake, sneaking around the land,
and keeps on going like a brave warrior.
Kids are kicking the water, SPLISH and SPLASH,
motors on boats hitting against the water, Drrrrrr!
The river swifts, swifts, swifts, and sways,
chirp, chirp, chirp, the music of the crickets in the silent night.
The crystal river glimmers in the sunlight,
and the river mirror reflected.
The river is a wonder,
and that is really something to ponder.
