Rivers

The river flowed from the mountains
Bringing life to the plants below
wriggling fish skip over pebbles
and  the plants in the river grow.

The river reaches the city
Contaminated, and murky it flows
Bridges sit above it, and the boats overflow

The river fills with pollutants
And starts to lose its hope
the slow-going fish start to lose their home
the plants in the river find it hard to cope

Flowing past the city polluted and contaminated
the river flows to the beach for all to swim around in
sitting with the waves home to now thousands of fish
there is now life for the river and all the
