Sadako, the girl with a dream,
To become a physical teacher,
It wasn’t easy as it seems.
But running was her special feature.

She ran faster than her peers,
She ran powerfully and rose,
She ran forgetting her fears,
She didn’t care about those foes.

But then Sadako lost, not in a race, In a race called life.
She was diagnosed with leukemia,
She lost her fight.

While she was on her death bed,
She decided to make paper cranes,
To get forever luck it led,
To also decorate her hospital room which was so very plain.

One thousand paper cranes was her goal,
But before she knew it, It was time for her to fall.

She died, and was respected by all,
Her friends created this quote which is about to be unfurled.
“This is our prayer, this is our call, peace in the world.”
