Saltwater Crocodile

On the mainland there is a species called the saltwater crocodile,

It is the most dangerous crocodile in the world,

It likes brackish water, swamps.

Sometimes in the ocean, it has salt glands on its snout,

So, it can swim in salt water and fresh water.

It is an ambush hunter, it stays still like a log,

Then it jumps out of the water and grabs its pray!

It does a death roll and crocodiles do not chew; they rip it apart so they can eat.

But the Nile and the Saltwater Crocodile are very good parents,

It takes the babies to a safe place to swim and catch fish.

The babies disperse but they may remain near the nest site for over a year.
