Sandstone Ages

I was full of joy to receive this gift,
I cheered with excitement
As it was handed to me by my mother.
It brings protection and joy
To my life I shall keep it
Forever.
It’s not like a normal Buddha
It’s not fat and short but
Skinny
And tall,
It crouches as stone
In the day
But
In the night it spreads happiness
And joy to my room
It protects me
It’s the best Buddha
As it stares at me.
