Seasons

Summer comes again, the sun returned to full strength.
Waves crash against the rocks,
curling like a soccer ball.
Black clouds form in the sky,
lightning cracks through the air,
a transformation begins.
Autumn is here, the air is fresh.
Crisp leaves twirl through the sky,
a rainbow of oranges, reds and yellows.
"Crunching underfoot, invading your backyard, what am I?"
Winter rolls around, the past year gone so fast.
A white blanket covers the earth,
like the universe tucking us into bed.
Flowers buried under millions of white sequins.
Birds prepare for spring.
Spring arrives, with it comes heat.
Bursts of life appear, in every crack and crevice.
Flowers dance in the wind, nature's ballerinas.
A canvas of colour.
