Ominous shadows lurk over the forest,
Sniffing the flowers that they deeply cherished
Sun-drenched leaves whimper, their colours now bleak,
Witnessing shadows grow grimmer, so wretchedly weak.
The shadows were no longer cheery,
A sense of guilt washed, making them weary.
A kaleidoscope of colours was gone from the sky
The waterfalls had stopped making the noise
Humans neglected this gift, their trust adrift,
Now eerie creatures hold a haunting night shift.
A forest once vibrant, now in sorrow does sigh,
As the world falls to darkness, and the land begins to die.
