She Stood Tall

frail bones held up the tree
peppered with baby pink blossoms
bloomed before, returning to the sensation of growing
she stood tall
sun screaming
fruit hung like words on a page
gave before, returning to the reward of showering
she stood tall
leaves tumbling
crisp with colour
disarmed before, returning to the life without armor
she stood tall
frost breathes up her spine
his breath paralysing time
froze before, returning to embracing emptiness
she bloomed, she gave, she disarmed, she froze
ready to be renewed
she stood tall
