I enter the forest

And feel no heartbeat

Silence comes near

And darkness appears

As I pry into the dull, gloomy forest, I stall

Stepping on a black gum tree branch

Tears start to flow like a streaming waterfall

As I realise the effect of this all

My feet land upon the burnt leaves

And my heart fills with sorrow

Once a family, a team

So strong they seemed

But then a thief, a killer came,

Vanishing them like a ball of steam.
