I see the land from under me,
All the wondrous things I used to see.
I’m just your sky in the air,
And I just look down with despair.

From grass to tree, from ant to bird,
Now none of this is heard.
I gave you love, nutrients and water,
Now I hear animals experiencing slaughter.

Why on earth did you do this to me?
For I have given you a view to see.
From rivers to lakes, from place to place,
All I see is your sad looking face.

Why did you invent plastic, why did you invent lead?
You could’ve invented something greener instead.
But you did it anyway, and had a big grin,
And now look what you’ve done and now your smile has gone thin.

I see the land from under me,
All the wondrous things I used to see.
I’m just your sky in the air,
And I just look down with despair.
