Something Special

Colours of happiness filled my eyes,
As a velvet rectangle met my soft, tender hands.
As light as a grain of sand on the beach
As soft as a newborn’s skin
It gave me joy.
It scares away all my fears
And turns my frown upside down.
Whispering only comforting words,
Sending my eyelids to cover my shining eyes.
Filling my nights with calming dreams,
And waking me up to a brand new day.
It was my “baby pillow”.
