Stick of twigs

Rough winds
pacing forward
propelling the trees
sending them out of orbit
A tuft of wind picks up a twig
letting it drift free without a care
understanding the wind means no harm
the twig glides through the air
leaving behind nothing but an arm
The trees yell out in alarm
but are not heard
for the twig has no ears
and has no fears
so it carries on.
