Stolen (a reverse poem)

The settlers were helping our communities
One would never believe
The Indigenous tribes were harmed
The British did the fair thing
It is impossible to assume that
Families were torn apart
Our land is owned by Britain
No longer is it true that
Many aboriginals were harmed
We should forget and move on
You’ll never hear me say
“Children were stolen”
