Stolen Happiness

Screaming on the playground
Hiding behind an ant’s mound
In her mind she is like a cheetah
Her legs help her runs metres
Her legs are a treasure
Not something she needs to measure
And suddenly she is a teen
Social media all over her screen
There is no longer time to race
An Instagram model has taken its place
Her body must be perfect
Or else she is not worth it
Her legs are too long
Everything about them is wrong
The child she once was is gone
