Sunrise By The River

As bright morning gaze peeks through coarse canvas,
A dawn chorus celebrates the sunrise,
Glistening beads of haze settle throughout.
The lyrebird sings its deceptive disguise.
Crystal rivulets explore new trails,
The kookaburra chortles from his crest,
A wispy blade falls; disrupting the seal,
A Joey draws warm breakfast from its nest.
Icy water washes off sultry waves,
Pressure dissipates with the cool ripples,
Needle limbs balance on crystal facet,
His wing flaps lightly; the cool air stipples,
Eyes eager and watching,
Calmness constructs a captivating composition.
