Sunshine

He shines bright in the sunshine
Brown chocolate eyes glow in the light
His howl is like a lost wolf
Stuck in unknown territory.

Protects our house like he’s on duty
He hates cats like they’re his enemy
But he loves our liver treats
He will protect them with his life.

He loves me like I’m his own kind
We are equals
He’s my best friend in the whole world
Loyal by my side.

When I take him for walks
He’ll sniff a tree
And he’ll lick me for letting him
My dog is the best.
