Superb Fairy Wren

This creature was the bright blue king of the bushes, 
the elegant granter of wishes.
Shy, but hiding no longer
feathers so silky, colours so bold.
From its shiny black eyes
secrets were told.
And it transfixed me
with its call.
Nothing else I could
Hear at all.
And I forced myself 
to move along,
should I be trapped
by siren's song.
And when I think of nature I think:
Superb colours
Superb feathers
Superb whistle
Superb Fairy Wren.
