Swimming in a sea of leaves, the tree is shaded
The long trunk stands high in the sky, watching over everything else
The tree’s roots sit deep in the ground, stabilising the giant
Each branch stretches out, soaking up the morning sunlight
While the leaves dance in the breeze, the trunk is only tickled
The tree shades the grass like an umbrella
Looking down at all that admire it, the tree is pleased with its work
Providing shade for all who walk beneath it
