The Almighty Purvis Turtles

The almighty purvis turtle lives in Queensland

it likes to live with lots of sand

it has a short neck and yellow spots

in its home there’s lots of algae dots

their shell is big with lots of yellow

it makes their body look like Jell-O

they have a small head and a big smirk

some of these turtles have a weird quirk

this poor turtle suffers from nest predation

it’s so sad they need a vacation

foxes, wolves, and pigs snoop through their nests

all those animals are pests

we need to help these turtles survive

it’s almost a calling to help them strive

come on people let’s believe

before these turtles don’t breathe
