The Amazing Mountain Pygmy Possum

With pointy ears and coloured fur on their belly

They're so cute, they look like a teddy

With pink hands, nose and feet, their eyes so bright

Just like a flashlight

Berries and fruit are a favourite treat

Especially in the heat

They aren't a fan of the cold

So, instead they hibernate till winter grows old

The mountain pygmy possum lives in New South Wales

With their long, big tails

Global warming is a huge threat

We haven't lost them yet

What kills them most are foxes and feral cats

Us humans are acting like brats

But we need to save them before it's too late

So they can escape their fate
