The Amazing Superb Parrot

The Superb Parrot emerald green 

With splashes of rainbow colours 

Less than five thousand left in Australia  

Scared and abandoned away from their homes

Made to live all alone

Threatened, suffocating, feeling unrest

Waiting for the flames to take out the rest

Nest breaking, crackling twigs 

Blaze a trail 

Waterfall of red fills the sky 

Birds start to cry 

Flickering flames circle the trees

Superb parrot having trouble to breathe 

Tree after tree 

Animals start to flee

The superb parrot still not free 

Molten of red, blazing everywhere 

Now they are scared

Scared and abandoned away from their homes 

Forever made to be alone…
