The Artist's Brush

I am a paint brush,
A creative tool
In the hands
Of an artist.
I have no power
I merely move to the ways
That the hand sways,
Moving from ink to watercolour
Acrylic to oil
He stains the canvas
Making a
Masterpiece.
I am washed and cleaned
Dried and put away.
I am cared for.

I am used and reused
Until the Artist is revealed once more.
I am His
Paintbrush.
