The Australian Night

I lean upon the windowsill
Watch the droplets so very still.
The desert sky
With my blurry eyes I hold a pause
Nothing about this has a flaw.
A streak of red bleaching the sky
As it wanders through cold July.
I seem to come by
The bush so seemly.
My hands brush the soft green leaves
But it's hard not to perceive
The Australian night glowing so deeply
I know how people find it so seemingly.
Australian night
Right by my side
That’s where I feel safe
The carefree sign
I love this place
