The Australian Outback

Rows upon rows of luscious green grass
Its pure mist purifying the air like a natural deodorizer
Blooming Bottlebrush swaying harmoniously in the serene breeze
The other flowers staring enviously at its smooth, defined moves
A green gum tree towering above,
Watching over the bright, vibrant field
Spreading its vast, tangled branches across like a boundless protector
The radiant pink sky hovering on top
ablaze with the fire of the setting sun
But in the distance trouble awaits
Huge Wheeled Machines come out one after the other like a swarm of furious bees
Their long spiky arms piercing the rough brown bark of the wailing trees
An immense toxicity protrudes, proliferating like a deadly virus
Once a lively prosperous land, now a grey solemn graveyard
Only a mere glimpse of the dangers threatening our precious species
Whose voices can’t be heard, nor feelings can be felt
This is the reality of the Australian Outback.
