The batwom

Everywhere it goes 

the batwom nature grows 

from the city to the outback 

it always leaves a track

although it sounds like a funny name 

an Aussie favorite it became 

It only comes in species of male 

so how it breeds is quite a tale

it wants to be better than the kangaroo 

but it's a short stubby animal that never grew

it wants to be on the Australian flag 

but it never had a bunnings snag 

it looks a little like a possum 

but it's fluffy and is awesome.
