The Beach

I feel calm and relaxed.
I smell the saltiness of the sea.
The waves stretching their hands,
Then pulling them back out to sea.
I hear the sound of the waves,
Crashing and tumbling.
The water creeping forwards and backwards,
Continuously on end.
There’s seashells along the shoreline,
With crabs waiting inside.
I see the rockpools,
With sea creatures galore.
The sun rays dance across the clear blue sea
And the ocean creeps,
Creeps forwards up to my toes.
I feel safe and content.
I see couples, hand in hand.
With their toes in the sand.
This,
This, is my happy place
