I first step onto the hot burning sand,
With my beach towel and sunscreen in my hand,
I dump my stuff off by the shore,
And I open up an imaginary door,

The door leads to the clear blue ocean,
On the sand, a towel, thongs and sunscreen lotion,
The seagulls, the seaweed, the sky and the sea,
This feels like a dream, I feel so free

The seagulls screaming and scavenging for food,
And when they approach someone they always get shooed,
The waves crushing against the golden wet sand,
I will get into the ocean, I demand

My teeny tiny toes get wet first,
Then before you know it I am waist deep,
The seaweed wrapped around my feet,
All this excitement, I’m about to burst.

This is where I belong,
This is where I go to relax,
This is where I go to forget and have fun.
This is where my happy place is.
