The Beach

Being at the beach for a holiday  
I was drawn to the water 
I dipped my feet in the freezing water
On the blazing summers day 

I saw a dark shadow in the water 
That spectre grew closer and closer
It was a huge stingray! 
My soul left my body and I fled!

That night the wind blew wildly 
Didn't get much sleep that night 
All I heard was thunderous snoring 
I felt the walls shaking 

I woke up slowly in the morning 
From an amazing smell
Eggs sizzling and bacon frying 
What a delicious breakfast it was 

The seaweed crumbled in between my toes 
The ocean was dark as the sky
The waves were enormous 
Taller than the tallest pine tree
