The beauty of summer

Oh Mother nature your beauty surrounds me
As the birds soar high beyond into blue sky
Puppies bark longing to play with me
Tall skinny brown trees yearn to reach high
The sweet smell of summer looms in the air
While leaves carpet the ground on which I lie
A gentle zephyr blows through my hair
I hope that the beauty of summer will never die
Golden sunbeams on my pale skin
Many bright colors gift our eyes
The children ran around with a grin
As a rainbow forms in our skies
Sometimes we feel so down inside
When really we just miss outside
