The Black Footed Tree Rat

Running up the trees

Hiding in the leaves

Snacking on fruit

And eating until they are full

During the day they’re found at rest

But during the night, they climb better than the rest

They might seem vulnerable right now

But we can still make a change for them, but how

We could plant more trees for them

Make it nice and sheltered

Don’t litter in the forest

And don’t crush any tree stems

They could survive

They don’t have to die

We can still make a change

We just have to dive in
