The brightest star,

She lights the sky amidst eternal shade.

But always her image was austere and absolute.

Her life-giving force powers our world

Her warmth washes over us,

She is luminous in all her being.

Beneath her fiery façades disguise

Lie intentions gentle and compassionate.

The sun not merciless, not fiercely wild

She’s kind and compassionate, selfless, like a child.

A tender kiss bestowed upon the soul,

it’s a comfort no other can provide,

For the sun is my cradle.

For the sun is my warmth.

For the sun is my life.

As I look upon the horizon, I ponder.

How special must we be, that the sun,

poured willingly her light

over me.
